Yes, Dorgard has a 2-year warranty. Over 2 years old you can return for a factory exchange unit. Please contact our Customer Support team on 01273 320650 for more information.

Apart from the casing, everything on Dorgard SmartSound can be recycled. This can be recycled at appropriate waste centres or by waste services. Please send in your unwanted units and we will ensure all parts are recycled correctly. When sending them in, you’ll need to cover the costs and ensure it is clearly marked for recycling.

Dorgard SmartSound is battery-powered. To hold open doors the plunger is depressed. It is acoustically activated, releasing the door to close when the fire alarm sounds.

Dorgard SmartSound contains SmartSound listening technology, which filters out common background noises.

Dorgard & Dorgard SmartSound can be fitted to most internal doors, even glass, up to power size EN 7.

Dorgard SmartSound has been tested to the European Normative (EN) Standards EN 1634 and EN 1155. These tests are required for fire safety products which are fitted to doors.

Dorgard SmartSound’s classification is Standard (category B) installations under BS 7273-4:2015+A1:2021
