Legislation sparks demand for new residential fire doors

THE PROBLEM
“The front door was surveyed by a third-party contractor on behalf of Crawley Borough Council,” explains resident Emma Denmark. “Upon completion of the survey, we were notified that our door was non-compliant with current fire safety standards associated with communal areas in council-owned buildings. Being leaseholders, we were advised by the Housing Manager at the council that we would need to seek and source a new doorset to remedy this at the earliest opportunity.
We had previously tried to engage the company the council was employing to replace our neighbours’ doors (those who are council tenants), but after receiving no communication from them, we were glad to try Fireco.”
the solution
“We received clear and frequent comms from the Fireco team throughout,” says Emma. “Their engineer made several visits to ensure accurate assessments, measurements and photos were taken. These were used to create a bespoke and compliant doorset replacement for us. The process was lengthy but thorough because electrical wiring factors needed attention before the doorset could be replaced safely.”
“When the doorset arrived, the team ensured frequent updates were provided, along with photos, and a swift and professional installation was arranged and undertaken. They even went above and beyond to provide us with a pot of paint if we wished to do touch-ups afterwards!”
Fireco offers fully certified, primary-tested doorsets that combine the highest level of quality with the best certification. Door installation, if required, is carried out by our network of professionals, all with third-party BMTRADA accreditation.
We also offer a free nationwide measure-up and quote service.
